LINDSAY SPEAR is a Portland native and is excited to be working with Spotlight Musical Theatre Academy. A graduate of Western Oregon University’s (WOU) acting program (BFA), she has been involved with theatre her whole life. She has worked with Northwest Children’s Theater (NWCT), Staged!, Enlightened Theatrics, Portal Theatre, and Stumptown Stages.

Lindsay's passion for directing and teaching started when she assistant directed a devised show (Why Cross Chaos) at WOU. She has worked as a music director at Blanchet Catholic School (9 to 5) and has directed/taught at NWCT’s Summer Day’s camp (Addams Family). She recently came back from touring multiple Canadian Fringe Festivals with her show that she devised and wrote music for. She will be continuing her tour this summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Her passion for theatre started when she was 3 years old, and she is excited to encourage that passion in other young performers.

"...the amazing teachers at Spotlight have drawn Emily out of her shell. The lessons that she has learned at Spotlight have helped her academically and socially. The little girl who had trouble looking others in the eye, has no trouble speaking before groups now!"
