EXPLORE the wonders of the stage with our youngest actors and their friends. This 90 minute class teaches acting, singing and dancing fundamentals and incorporates the wonderful world of imagination that is so vibrantly alive in young children. Each term ends with a demonstration of learning for family and friends!
Little Stars Teacher
LINDSAY SPEAR is a Portland native and is excited to be working with Spotlight Musical Theatre Academy. A graduate of Western Oregon University’s (WOU) acting program (BFA), she has been involved with theatre her whole life. She has worked with Northwest Children’s Theater (NWCT), Staged!, Enlightened Theatrics, Portal Theatre, and Stumptown Stages.
Lindsay's passion for directing and teaching started when she assistant directed a devised show (Why Cross Chaos) at WOU. She has worked as a music director at Blanchet Catholic School (9 to 5) and has directed/taught at NWCT’s Summer Day’s camp (Addams Family). She recently came back from touring multiple Canadian Fringe Festivals with her show that she devised and wrote music for. She will be continuing her tour this summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Her passion for theatre started when she was 3 years old, and she is excited to encourage that passion in other young performers. |
2023/24 Term Dates and Tuition
Fall Term: September 9 - November 18 Winter Term: January 6 - March 16 Spring Term: April 6 - June 8 Times: Saturdays ~ 12:15pm-1:45pm Tuition: Each term is $265.00^ ^processing fees may apply CANCELLATION POLICY: Once accepted by Spotlight, written notice must be given of intention to cancel and must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to the camp or term start date. If no or inadequate notice is given, camp or term fees will be due in full. No refunds thirty (30) or less days before camp or term start date. A processing fee of $35 will be deducted from any refund given whether tuition was paid online or offline.
